Ryan Clarke - New Goalie

it was the personality of Bond that I remember best. We called him the muffin man! That was because he'd earned the nickname 'Muffin' at West Ham because his team mates said he had a kick (of the ball) like a mule....... Big and heavy; do you remember how ungainly he looked with the number 9 on his...

Keeping Our Eye on the Ball

Creating a smokescreen or trying to build up a business that would be a viable proposition for a further buyer should GI not achieve their primary object in securing the freehold/or more favourable terms (to them) on the lease? They are not so silly as to have injected funds into the concern withou...

I'm sure we all wish Martin Ling well in his new appointment at Leyton Orient: I wonder who he'll appoint as their first team coach. Paul Buckle would be interesting..
I'm pretty certain it is to be Ross Embleton

A further rename back to simply Orient took place in 1966 after the Borough of Leyton (in Essex) was absorbed into the London Borough of Waltham Forest Moving around East London & links to Clarke Osborne! http://i556.photobucket.com/albums/ss4/alangmerson/btpir/lea1933bridge_aerial_old_large13_zpsf...

That's actually Brisbane Road and the stand in the background is the West (Osborne Road) Stand. I would say that's a game in the 1953-54 season with the clubs in their normal kits for that season: http://i556.photobucket.com/albums/ss4/alangmerson/btpir/leyton_orient_1953-1954_zpsei2wlk59.gif v htt...

Assaults on our Freedoms

For me, conversations like this, only serve to raise awareness, others will read this and not comment, but may have a slightly changed view based on yours and my input, and the more people who know, the better chance we have . Indeed and that is always my motivation when posting but don't disrespec...

If you look into it you'll see this is the truth, please, i ask you to read into wahabism and the saudi funding, look to understand the differences between the different Islamic factions and you;ll start to see how on the one hand there are many decent muslims who've integrated and on the other han...

Jamie Vardy must be over the moon today, now that his scheme has managed to place Courtney Richards in the bright lights of Macclesfield! What a career move for him.
I very much doubt that John Askey decided to try and sign Courtney Richards as a result of the V9 enterprise.

Assaults on our Freedoms

I neither hold this country in disdain nor wish to engage in constant too-ing and fro-ing in lengthy debate over the 'state of the nation'. There has been too much tragedy and reaping of the policies that have put economics before humanity to leave me anything but shaken and saddened and the assumpt...

........most indiginous english people don;t care much for religion anyway, so it really is iirrelevent. However, the vast majority of muslims follow Islam with a real focus and no matter what any liberal minded indiviual says, this islamic culture is counter to our western way of life. What will i...

History takes us back much further to the Balfour Declaration of 1917 which was a single paragraph in a letter dated 2nd November 1917 from the United Kingdom's Foreign Secretary Arthur James Balfour to Walter Rothschild, 2nd Baron Rothschild, a leader of the British Jewish community, for transmiss...

I see that Alex Fisher has signed a two-year contract with Motherwell.
A little bird told me he's got a contract for £4K a week there!
