Are these latest signings the last roll of the dice for TUFC

It's obvious there will be no Great Escape no.3 this season, and I agree with all the posts on here. We simply haven't got the characters in the team that were around for Great Escape no. 1 - think MacDonald, Smith, Butler, Racchi, Harrad, Blissett. Last season we rode our luck and in the end it was...

Is this all 'FAKE NEWS'

Bring back Shaun Harrad! If nothing else at least he could hold the ball up and take a lot of buffeting in the process. Expect he's retired now anyway.

Two strikers Imminent?

It's a slow-motion car crash and it has been for five years now. Even David Thomas on the podcast has at last woken up to the reality and referred to 'five years of failure'. Utterly depressing.

Two strikers Imminent?

At the end of the day, the club needs players who actually WANT to play for Torquay United and have some sense of pride in wearing the shirt. I've said this before on this forum that Ben Gerring was a limited footballer but had huge pride in playing for his home town club and never gave less than 10...

Two strikers Imminent?

Joined Boring Wood - it's on the OS just now. Gnabouyou, Davey - the words 'sinking ship' and 'rats' come to mind.

Two strikers Imminent?

You really can't fault this fella's committment - so wish it would turn out well for him.

GILBERT's performances.

I wonder if this last incarnation of Gilbert merely failed to settle in the area, having previously been nicking chips in places such as Malta and Finland?

Guy Gnabouyou leaves!

Now watch Gnabouyou score loads of goals for someone else - fits in with my theory that players always seem to do better when they leave Torquay United.

Next season

Going back to my my previous posting about Dover being a good example to follow, that's probably not the best example in retrospect - they have a chairman/owner in Jim Parmenter who is actually interested in the fortunes of the team and is VERY hands-on. I still can't help thinking that if Clark Osb...

Next season

The various ins and outs promised for the next few days represent the final roll of the dice for this season. I really can't see the club staying up - it's obvious now that Owers and Kuhl are not miracle workers. I agree with Mr Goody that the club should now be building a squad for next season, wit...

Teams around us

Torquay rock bottom again now - Solihull Moors' revival continues, winning 3-1 against Maidenhead. NL South is getting closer and closer each day.

Torquay v Boreham Wood

Having just watched the 'lowlights' of yesterday's game, the most irritating part was the stupid music that kept playing whenever BH scored, and at the end of the match too. The most concerning part however was the reaction of the Torquay players when BH scored their first goal - er...no reaction ac...
