Retained list out!

Regarding Northlondongull's post above, GI do not have to complete by 'the end of the month' as, according to the HE, Mr Phillips says that the period of exclusivity still has a 'couple of months' to run! I think that may be an error in the article. “He would not go into detail, but it is also cl...

Retained list out!

From this article in the Herald: http://www.torquayheraldexpress.co.uk/TORQUAY-UNITED-David-Phillips-says-Rebuilding/story-29313704-detail/story.html It looks as if it could be a busy week or so: (1) The current players have until June 2 to agree or not; (2) GI has until the end of the month on its ...

New Owners

I think that few would deny that a new stadium could be a great asset for the club. It could provide the revenue streams away from football which we crave. HOWEVER as is the case with most things, the devil is in the detail here and could is the key word. The stadium could equally be run for the ben...

Retained list out!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36274275 This seems like good sense re: Durrell. I do believe that it is not charity but I would suggest that regardless, the club and Nicho has a duty to the player which they are following through. I really felt for him when he broke his leg, the security that y...

Gerring signs - 1 year deal

Will be good as third choice cover in my opinion and hopefully Nicho can get more out of him. I am not sure if he has been a full time pro in recent years so hopefully he will come on leaps and bounds with focussed training every day.

Next Years Squad

do we have a list of who is out of contract? For me I'd look to This all depends on the budget...but generally I agree with you. I think with a few decent additions to the below that we could be very competitive for a season. 1. Grant Fisher - Release May be a good back up - have not seen him yet 3...

Torquay United v Altrincham

I think that we can win tonight however I always feel that when you play the teams around you in a dog fight at this stage that the real importance is that this game is a must not lose. A draw would put us in a strong enough position with three games to go. Still, I will go for a 3-1 win (Blissett,...

Torquay V Chester - Now Tue 5th April

Nicolson saying Young could be back for next Tuesday's game, and even in squad for Saturday. Great news if he is. A rested Luke Young is a real asset off the bench. I have tonight down as a win in my "to season end predictions" so I am going for: Torquay 2 Blissett, Harrad Chester 1 Hannah

I reckon James Bittner could be a good shout for a few games. He has done a lot since his season as number 2 here.

Aldershot v Torquay United

Bit of a worry that Lavercombe is an injury doubt for this one:

Still, being the optimist that I am, I predict a 2-1 win with Wright and Ajala on target.
