Torquay United V Woking - 29/09/18
#23 “ Hmmn...I'd say a **** who can't come to terms with names that 'sound a bit foreign'.” I live abroad. This was my first home game of the season. I don’t buy programmes. Names not on shirts anymore. I asked the board what his name was and get called a **** And people wonder why forums get a bad ...

Torquay United V Woking - 29/09/18
Game of two halves. They were the better team until 2-0 down and GJ brought two on, and seemed to switch to more of a 4-2-4. This gave us width and 2 on 2 up front against their center backs and we were on top all second half. Every time the ball went over or through their defense we looked like sco...

Thirty Years Ago Today
Saw one of the most dramatic games in my lifetime at Plainmoor- and there have been a few. 3-3 against Swansea in the play off Final. A long time ago but from memory this was pre Wembley days so this was to go up, after we lost 2-1 away. I remember it absolutely lashing it down all game, and being i...

Saunders and Elliot were immense. imo better than Woods and Taylor yes. of the above centre half list I was in mini stand when Kruse scored his world famous 6 second own goal past Terry Lee. and i met Colin Bettany in a midlands pub before a game (maybe Rushden?) a few years back - seemed like a nic...

?! The video evidence is clear. They didnt say that TUST had breached NDA. They said there was a verbal agreement before/during the meeting and before the NDA was signed. He didnt 'blame' the trust. This is a time when we need to pull together so get your facts straight before creating more issues b...

Many thanks again for running this thread - brought back so many happy TUFC memories. I am also a little surprised that a conference final would beat a 7-6 win on penalties to get promoted to 'now' League One, or the Crewe or Wolves away games. but i guess that is the vagary of the format. You see t...

Our Final 9 Games. Can we avoid Relegation.
Having done my own version of 'predict the final table' - I have us safe with 47 points, IF we do not lose tomorrow and with a last day draw. of course a win would be massive, but i think in final reckoning not losing tmrw night will be critical.

Carlisle was also a special trip and definitely traveled more in hope than expectation. Amazing game and then at the end there was definitely NOT a friendly atmosphere when 3,000 of them came towards us. Think we started applauding them and then they were fine but was touch and go for a minute. Seem...

Wolves is only 26th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow. Maybe only those who went, and there weren't many of us after Bull robbed us in the home leg, voted for it. If i am trying to explain to anyone what it means to be a football supporter, and that ANYTHING can happen in sport - this is the game i describe. Proba...

Bristol City game was one of my mine. Late 80's and early 90's were a fantastic time to be a TUFC fan and i saw a lot of games. This one stands out for the coach journey, the massive away support on the big bank behind the goal and of course the West Country derby. Slightly embaraased to say it but ...
