Is there an alternative future for Torquay United?

My thoughts exactly Yorkie. People are saying the community are not informed about what is going on, so why not inform everyone of what is happening? Then more people will buy in to the fact that a change is needed. Otherwise they might not have a team to support. Also, I cancelled my membership a w...

Is there an alternative future for Torquay United?

Although I agree a trust ownership would be better, we haven’t heard a peep out of them for the past few months. People are saying the community don’t know what is happening with the club, then the trust should be releasing statements, doing handouts, spreading the word. Is that happening enough? Fo...

Wrexham v Torquay 6/1/18

I can’t bring myself to watch any highlights of yesterday’s game. It’s bad enough watching it live at Plainmoor every other week :red: Personally, I think GO/ MK time is up. - Results = dreadful - Performances = embarrassing - Improvements since their arrival = non-existent - Additions to the squad...

Wrexham v Torquay 6/1/18

That is disgraceful the team and manager not showing appreciation for the 67 there today.

But well done to everyone there today, you deserve medals after what has been going on recently.

An open letter to Clarke Osbourne.

In theory, fan ownership is a good idea. Ran with passion for the football club, and trying to make it sustainable. But do you seriously think CO will give the club to the fans? Hell no. He’s getting what he wants. I asked on a separate thread about the tust, and if they were still going. I actually...

I agree when the takeover first happened the trust did say, but when was the last time they released anything about us being bottom? About us losing players but not signing any? Have they given up on the situation too?

Not sure if this has been covered, but is the trust still around? I would have thought they would be jumping up and down and shouting from the rooftops with what is going on now at the club.

Are these latest signings the last roll of the dice for TUFC

I think we are passed the last roll of the dice to be honest. Too much to do, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we fall even further behind at the weekend.

Will Owers be here next season? Do you think he could put a good team together?

The thing is, is that some of the players currently in the team are performing below conference south level anyway, so even if we did start to prepare for the conference south it would be an improvement on the current trash we have.

Great appointment.

I have a little question. Do people think if Hargreaves was not sacked after our first season in the conference, would we still be in this mess? Before I get shot down, I know a lot of people did not like the way he bigged himself up, but he did recruit some decent players for us. Ryan bowman was a ...

Teams around us

With 13th to 20th separated by only 5 points (albeit some teams have games in hand), if we catch 5th bottom up there are a lot of teams we could drag in. Only problem being of course is that we need to win 4 games more than 5th bottom to catch them up....

Torquay v Eastleigh 01/01/2018

You know what. I think we will win this tomorrow if it’s on.

People are calling for a postponement, but I think Eastleigh will also strengthen in the next couple of weeks. We had their number at theirs. I think we can roll them over tomorrow.

I’m off to sniff some more glue....

Not only a couple of strikers though. Remember we could lose our whole backline and goalkeeper in the next week......

Torquay v Boreham Wood

I know this is a match day thread, but if we do get relegated this season. Who would actually now watch the team in conference south?
