Realistic goals next season
GJ is the most talented manager that the Gulls have had for many many seasons. He’s been there, done it and got the T shirt in bundles. If there is any manager that could get us promoted next season it is GJ (as long as he is given the financial resources).

Woking FC v Torquay United 6/4/19
A good analysis of the match by Rjc70. Has there ever been a draw that felt that much better than a win? When we were bouncing on the terrace you just knew how utterly gutted they must have been feeling -their one chance to catch us and they blew it. And all thanks to Gerring who got himself sent of...

The Gary Johnson effect
I haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere else on the forum but there’s a great double page interview with Gary Johnson in this week’s edition of The Non-League Paper.

Torquayunited v Woking Fa Cup 1st round 10/11/18
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/46163897 The highlights make for depressing viewing. They show how close we came and how well the Woking keeper played which wasn’t always obvious at the time from where I was standing. They also show what a poor game the ref and the Lino on the Pop Side had....

Torquayunited v Woking Fa Cup 1st round 10/11/18
No one so far seems to have pointed out that when the ball was passed forward in the attack that resulted in the penalty 2 Woking players were off side. On the whole officiating in the SPL has been good but this afternoon was the worst I’ve seen this season. It seems that the officials do a better j...

Go G.O!!
I don't have the insight into why these changes were made, but your theory has much credence. It is evident that Ower's dismissal was not a knee jerk reaction and was in the the pipeline for a few weeks. Therefore, such changes must have been made with an overall purpose i.e. a new manager is alrea...

Gary Owers Steps Down
Let's hope they don't make the same mistake as a year ago and get someone straight in.

Go G.O!!
I wouldn’t normally get involved in a discussion that is not Gulls related on the forum but having personal experience of those living with mental health issues I feel I must. Clinical depression, particularly in men, can manifest itself in violent outbursts and addiction to alcohol, gambling and dr...

The level of Owers inability was shown by his substitution of the only player that was providing any threat for the donkey that is Williams.

MOTM - Chippenham
No. They were shit too. Really mate? Were you there? There were chants of Owers out but the players at FT weren’t booed and by and large were applauded off the pitch. It Owers ineptitude that was responsible for yesterday. To quote hector “There is no rational or logical explanation for persisting ...
