Both Hertford and Bishop’s Stortford are within a 45 minute drive from Enfield which seems to be the property developer rule of thumb.
Meanwhile the proper fans can see a far higher class of football in Enfield.

Correct. Enfield FC who we played in 1994 still exist and play in the Isthmian League division North although nowadays they ground share with Bishops Stortford. No they don’t. Enfield FC was liquidated in 2007. There are two Phoenix clubs. Enfield Town, formed by fans in 2001, have just been promot...

AGM is June 8.portugull wrote: ↑05 May 2024, 19:01 I agree Dave I think it is a done deal and hopefully contracts are being prepared for signature.
The NL AGM is on Thursday 20th June I believe 6 weeks from next Thurday 9th May so the hard work and due diligence is now behind us and its Green Light to go.
Fingers crossed.

Quite clear that some people have no idea what a non-disclosure agreement is.

I'm certainly not having a pop at any of the Bryn consortium in general and Michael Westcott in particular. All credit to them and total respect. My gripe is with the publicity seeking mouthpiece Mr Broderick, who appears to be a prize self publicist of the first order. Just a thought, I wonder if ...

The trust is indeed the fans representative of a consortium, but that consortiums bid has fallen by the wayside, I'm guessing through a lack of money. Other trusts have done well, and other teams play in the premiership! That is incorrect. The TUST-led consortium bid has not fallen by the wayside t...

Remember that in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century if you said football to anyone in Torquay they would assume you meant Rugby football - the more popular code locally. This was still just about the case when TUAFC was formed in 1921. Football notes in the Torquay Times would start wit...

Westyorkshiregull RIP
If you have searched youtube for old TUFC video, you will have seen loads posted by Westyorkshiregull - Andrew Holland. I was shocked to find out that he has passed away at the age of 40. It would be good if fans could celebrate his life and his love for TUFC on the day of his funeral on May 5 by wa...

"In 2016-2017 United spent £303,733 more than they earned, but that loss was all but covered with the help of £296,653 of ‘loans written off’ by Riviera Stadium Ltd" Interesting. Is Osborne really 'giving' money to the club? I'm surprised :) Unfortunately, the far less surprising answer i...

Woods and Hodges were at centre back, Wroe and Hargreaves were centre midfield.

Who owns Torquay United FC?
I guess that list just isn't very up to date. Either they were transferred else where or The Queen now owns 170506 shares in TUFC! Phil is correct. The Queen owns 17% of Torquay United. Mick Sadler was entitled to claim these shares when Roberts' company was dissolved, but did not bother as the sha...

Who owns Torquay United FC?
Plainmoor Limited owns just under 75% of Torquay United Association Football Club Limited. Thea Bristow, Dave Phillips, Mervyn Balson, Harry Kerswell and Angela Richards each own 20% of Plainmoor Limited. Phillips, Balson, Kerswell and Richards did not pay for their shares. They were gifted to them ...

This was over a century ago! Torquay Athletic were kicked out of Plainmoor twice - in 1887 and in 1904 - to make way for the builders. In 1909, Torquay Council would not match the price offered by property developers but the Vicar of Ellacombe, Rev. Percy Baker, saved the day by raising £500 from l...
