My Offer Still Stands

Nicholson as I have said many times before could put a side together but once it was on the pitch could not see when it was going wrong. Yes it should be the General Managers job to get a coach alongside him who knew the game as Nicholson was still learning but some people don't LEARN! I know there ...

My Offer Still Stands

Harrop is only interested in multipack crisps from the local convenience store in Wellswood. He is out of his depth and so is the bloody manager he appointed. Today is the first time I've understood why Exeter fans call our ground Plainmorgue. I went into Boots at about 2pm, about 50 people in ther...

Torquay v Eastleigh 13/01/2018 (PP)

Played reasonably well but we lack at centre half the new lad relies on his positional sense but on odd occasions it let him down and his lack of pace let him down but he is a good solid player. The team had a lack of balance but once they settled down we started to play well. Who ever gave Jamie Re...

Ambition or Submission?

At this time it could be a good signing don't knock if you don't know.

Nancy boy displays? I'd love to know what you mean by this. What's your definition?
Abjectly failing to compete in their personal one-on-one battles with their opposite numbers ~ failing to compete!

You were very careful there Merse.

Guy Gnabouyou leaves!

He was not any better than what we had.

Get Bret Williams back put him with Keating and we would have a fighting chance.

Great appointment.

History (League Tables) will show that Nicho kept us up for two seasons and Owers took us down in one! Nicholson did not learn from his big mistakes and put us in the same position each year. He should have kept the partnership of Williams and Keating it was like gold and he threw it away. We have ...

Great appointment.

Stop it now, our problems didn't start when Knill was appointed manager, they started long before that, they started when bungalow Bill turned up at the club, and, the then board failed to back Martin Ling. Our problems started when people in the club took advantage of a family that gave a lot to t...

Reserve Team for 2018-19?

When I was at St Luke's College, as club secretary (and occasional sub) playing at St James Park for home games, used to enjoy Torquay Reserve games in the Western League. In my opinion having a reserve side is essential for the benefit of the first team. A good move long overdue. We may have seen ...

Andresson wasn't great against Gateshead, was poor on Saturday and from looking at the Tranmere highlights was "involved" in two of the goals conceded. Whilst not his fault his arrival and the loss of Efete has unbalanced Davey and by implication the back three. I don't know what you were looking a...

I expect Dowling had advice from Paul Hirons.
Andresson looks a good player playing central as he did at Tranmere for people to judge him on one game is a bit naff

The defence is ok the midfield has been ok we need a couple of strikers and maybe a right wing back if we stick to the same formation. Last Saturday was shocking in every way selection and the new striker needs to get some work ethic as he cheated for best part of the game we need effort.

Torquay United v Maidstone FA Trophy

Andresson is potentially a very good player the problem on Saturday was he had Williams as the wide player alongside him at Tranmere he played well in the centre. I expect McGinty did not fancy it as we don't have a left sided wing back. Have we won with Gowling?

Torquay United v Maidstone FA Trophy

Yes, Wivel it was a low attendance but I'm not at all sure that this was the lowest for a competitive match. Weren't we dreadful though, it was a shambles and we are truly rubbish (again). They wanted it more than us and they got it plain and simple, they were stronger and more professional right a...
