Torquay United v Yeovil New Year's Day 2020
Thank you for your considered and thoughtful comments on tomorrow's opponents, Dave_Pougher. With observations like that it is no wonder that so many regard football supporters as beneath contempt. Oh, and if you really want to experience pissin (sic) rain I suggest you go and stand in the away end ...

Great article in 'When Saturday Comes' June 2019 issue
Yes, gillygull, my copy arrived to-day and a pleasant surprise to see the well-written article. It will be interesting to read the extent to which fans who went to the match recognise the description of the atmosphere etc. The River Plate v Boca Juniors comment brought to mind our old chant of "...

NEW MANAGER GARY JOHNSON
Certainly exceeds my expectations as to who we were likely to attract. Not got an easy task by any means but at least now a glimmer of hope for the future. Brucie, to use the old cliche "it takes one to know one". Something we can all now anticipate is the monotony throughout the season of...

With respect (and i do not mean that in a sarcastic way), SuperNW, the number of posts that Torkie has made is an irrelevance. I am not necessarily in agreement with either of you, but just because you have bothered to make just short of 4600 does not give any extra weight to your opinions compared ...

New sponsors?
Hector, just a thought. You indicated that you would prefer to wear a shirt which does not carry a sponsor's logo. I am at one with you there and a number of years ago purchased the excellent late 60s repro from TOFFS. Excellent quality and still going well into added time!! Last time i looked they ...

Torquay United v Southend United - 14/12/13
Mav, were you at the training session when he picked up the injury? Do you know exactly what the players were doing at the time? Do you know precisely how the injury occurred? Did you see it happen? My own response to these questions would be "No" and i would therefore not be able to draw ...

Leaking of Confidential Information
So many posts on this topic have completely confirmed my views about the lack of intelligence and common courtesy of so many posters on this site. Yes, I know it's a forum and everyone has a right to express themselves as they wish (within certain limits). But just WHY is it that so many just seem t...

Re: Ideas for Mr Candy
Andrew, the new procedures for entering the ground resulted in a small hiccup before our first match in that the period leading up to kick-off saw 3 turnstiles open for Bristow's Bench with no queues and only one open for the Family Stand, which had a longish and slow moving queue. It was apparent t...

Player to bring in (suggestions)
That's the problem with wiki, Michigan. Taylor is 187cm (just over 6'1.5") according to PFA Transfer List site. I think i would prefer to go with the accuracy of the PFA but it's probably not him anyway.

Re: Player to bring in (suggestions)
I'm going to guess at Matthew Taylor. He's about 6'2". Central defender. 31. Exeter 2007-11, Charlton 2011-13 (made 38 starts for Charlton 2011-12 in Div 1 but only half a dozen in the Championship last year).
If so, seems a reasonable pedigree and knows the area.
Probably way off.
