We lost to you at home in 90-91. Both clubs got promoted though. Yes, we beat you 3-1 in 91-92 season in the first match. Sadly we didnt win many more after that and got relegated.

Expectations for next season

Merse is sometimes controversial, possibly deliberately so. But what he does is give vitality and energy to both this forum and his own. By his contribution he gets people interested and logging on even if they themselves do not contribute to the debate, and this is very important. We need people l...

THE REAL GREAT ESCAPE, BRYN THE POLICE DOG ETC, 30 YEARS ON. (Has much really changed.)

Those first few years as a young fan I was totally spoilt. 87/88 was my first season and at that game vs Wrexham when they went - 1-0 up in no time all around were sighing and exclaiming here we go again. Nobody could believe it when we scored 3, let alone 6. Chants of nice one Cyril and my fave son...

Durrell Berry?

This poor blokes injury was terrible, I remember seeing the video clip and it made me feel a bit uncomfortable to be fair. Thats the part of the football profession that rarely gets spoke of or seen, when a player could be flying and going well one minute, earning a decent wage and then bang, gone i...

The track Children always seemed so brilliantly perfect just before a match. My wife teases me if it ever comes on because about 10 years ago, during the Roberts era and we were heading out of the league and things were bleak, me and er indoors were in a music shop in Torquay (Our Price or virgin), ...

Not hard to predict the rest- 3 or 4 from either the Gargs,Greeks,Bath,Truro,Buckland,Stoke Gabriel and Watcombe Wanderers.
Is this on the correct thread. Are you predicting who our friendlies will be with or is that who we will be trying to sign new players from.

Awesome. I didnt know the story about the conga. All I know is what I put in the first post about grown men getting tearful, players and manager getting chaired and round the back of the mini stand players chatting with us and supping a few cans. I think it was so emotional because all were resigned...

Good God almighty, sweet baby Jesus, it was 30 years ago today. Today is my 30th anniversary of supporting The Gulls. Where on earth has those 30 years gone. Gone inthe blink of an eye. I had just turned 12 and now just turned 42. In another ludicrously fast 30 years I will be 72 :'( :'( That would ...

Game at Plainmoor Sat 6 May 12:15 pm

Jo Kuffour looked like he could still do a job for us, he looked extremely fit. There was a bit of edge and competitive nature a few times and some humour involved also(mainly Guy Branston for both, nice moments between him and Adrian Foster). Hope Rowcroft did well out of it. I see there is another...

Enjoyed that. Shame there wasnt a few more in attendance but there were quite a few. Really nice to see so many ex players turning out for both teams. Some of them still look very fit, some it took me a little while to recognise. Bit surreal seeing players from different generations on the same side...

Retain List

I would keep them all minus - Harrod - too old, slow Richards - nothing short of useless Gerring - no better than average Duke - cant carry him and Chaney on the fact they have potential Lathorpe - injured too often Its all about the additions. Lee is defo worth keeping if Bournemouth let us, Keati...
