Re: Where has the OS gone??

The domain name is listed as pending renewal or deletion as it expired today so looks like an administrative thing on the part of the web company....it has been renewed though today so may just take a while to reappear. Those that can see it are just viewing older cached versions, and for those that...

Re: Byron Anthony?

Blueboy, I too was struck dumb by the notion of Muzzy as a Championship player, but of course for him, Middlesborough is taking him a step closer to London.......before we know it he'll be joining a club in the Faroe Islands on his way to the capital city.

Tell me about it. I broke my ankle playing footie so after 3 weeks in a plaster and on crutches, a day out at Forest Green would be heaven o:)

Re: I hate this time of year!

My thoughts exactly Happy, which is why I haven't done anything about it because I presume that everyone's Nan would be sending in emails (well letters I suppose) saying how good little Johnny is. This one is someone that I noticed in under 18 game reports, then he turned up in the reserves but was ...

Well if he pops up at Kiddie or Forest Green then I'll drop in and let you all know how he gets on.

Re: I hate this time of year!

Agree, but I do know of a recently released player that I would like to recommend to ML from up here.....anyone know how I would go about this in a serious fashion, rather than just an 'there's a lad down the park' type approach?

Re: plainmoor members' club

Agreed..like a lot on here I rarely get to a home game and so my hard earned goes to the likes of Swindon and Crawley who really don't need it. Think I mentioned on here before, but something like a home matchday programme subscription would suit me - I presume they would usually be printed and read...

Re: Macklin on Transfer List

Would be great to see him adopt the right attitude and come up with the goods.......terminating a contract tends to cost as much in the long run as paying somebody to sit on the sidelines unless the contract has been badly done (badly from the players perspective) so think he has to work to earn it,...

And still at by signing Scott Rendell.

Buckle's list of contacts really must be written on the back of a stamp.

Re: Has O'Kane Gone Yet?

He's a nice lad, but a professional that earns his living playing football. He signs for a higher league, better paying scumbag( sorry club) and hopefully ups his income and his earning potential. Consider then that he might also suffer an injury (hopefully not) or a dip in form etc and so hanging o...

Re: Mark Ellis to Crewe ....

James Collins will at least get them something at tribunal as he's under 23. He's also one more striker ahead of Billy Bodin, as well as Andy Williams, who Swindon also signed yesterday. Billy is probably now their 10th choice striker, and yet his value is probably set at more than our best players...

Re: Bobby to Peterborough?

Echo everyone's thoughts on here. Great keeper and deservedly moving on up. I will never forget the ferocity of the shots in warm ups that were blasted at him, and neither will I forget seeing one of ours taking the full force of a Bobby shot during warm ups......the distance that it rebounded off t...

Re: Negativity and our finances

In Eunan O'Kane we signed a player on a free, and had a contract with a release clause agreed of a very reasonable value for a League 2 player. Take most League 2 squads, slap £175k transfer fee on each of them and work out how many that would represent good value for and it will be a short list. Ha...

Re: Alarm Bells - Eunan to Crawley

SLC, I don't think you can rely on anything historical because you don't actually have any to speak of that can't be matched by the achievements of a Sunday League team. The first 110 years of your 'history' say it all. Plenty of criminal history to fall back on though I suppose. Borrowed nickname -...
