Re: Ronan Murray

Couple of big reasons why seasons tickets should be paid up front rather than in instalments... Firstly, if the season doesn't go as expected, the football is poor etc etc, people just cancel their direct debits. The club lose money and struggle with budgeting.. Secondly the club would likely have t...

Re: Ineligibility Hearing put Back a Week

I can't believe that Hereford are moaning and asking for the same punishment - it should have been the same, a loss of all points gained in any fixture that the unregistered players played in. The fine is disgusting - £10k for two clubs who continually struggle to survive financially. Would a...

Re: Torquay United vs Rotherham United

As you can tell from my screen name I don't too much. Very rare for me that tonight I couldn't even listen It's a real shame that a point at home against a key promotion contender is seen as such a negative. I think it shows how far we have come but also i think we would have a different reaction if...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Torquay United

Fletch - I agree that there is very little between robbo and Ellis - I really rate Robbo. Oastler has done well also. But I think Robbo is much better at right back than Mansell - he brings extra height and solidity to the overall back 4, his positional play is far better and his size often means th...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Torquay United

Potter is obviously a good keeper - but I think Bevan has proved he is one of the best in this division and has been in superb capped by a wonderful FA Cup appearance. Listening to the game it appears that we would not have conceded the first or perhaps been so nervy and under pressure from all corn...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Torquay United

I don't understand...

Ellis is better than Robbo at centre back...
Robbo is better than Mansell at right back...
Mansell is better in centre mid than Oastler...
Bevan has been one of the players of the season so far.
Gilligan has looked really sharp, Macklin has not been in favour for months.

Re: Crawley - At It Again

To be honest I think we should draw a line under all this.

Yes they did what we know a Steve Evans side will do but they also outplayed us and deserved to win and we weren't exactly a shining light for good sportmanship ourselves,

Re: Worst radio commo ever

At least twice he mixed up which end the action was happening at. 1st occassion Barnet had the ball, the stream cut out for about 5 seconds and it when it came back - "and thats just flashed inches wide of the Barnet goal". I thought blimey that was a quick break until it became apparent i...

I got £16.44 matched at 40-1 with betfair and £3.56 placed at 38-1 with Betfair - also had £80 at 8/5 on Torquay win. First football bets of the season

Re: Torquay United vs Gillingham

Really good post Matt. I actually wonder whether Benyon leaving could be a good thing for us. He is an excellent finisher but I actually like the 4-5-1 formation as it creates the perfect role in the team for O'Kane and once we have possession in an opposition half we look dangerous. The drawback is...

Re: You know the question!

Simple - Man Utd of Arsenal away completely transforms the finances for the next 3 years. I don't care about round 5 or a nice tie for me or a cracking atmosphere at home. Even against lower teams these clubs attract huge attendances in the way no other teams in the competition do (apart from maybe ...
