Maybe we will all end up with egg on our faces and Rory will hit the ground running and be a prolific scorer. Hmmm - did anyone else see that pig fly by ?? 35 isn't too old. It depends on his fitness ..... and Mr Fallon doesn't appear to have been keeping to a strict fitness regime. It has been sugg...

A fair result all round, and we looked good up until the final third, where a lack of cutting edge still seems to be our biggest vice. Slightly off thread (LucyLucy will have a chunter ...... ;-) ) but there is a connection ...... Has anyone heard any whispers about what City fans are thinking abou...

TRIALISTS

Oh dear - another red herring. Back to the drawing board. Murphy - it's an Irish name ! I haven't been to any of the pre-season games so cannot comment on how young Keating has been playing. But he needs a strike partner and no - not Rory Fallon. This is the one area where I have major concerns - an...

I've resurrected this thread from the depths as I wasn't sure where to post this thought without starting a new thread. FGR have cancelled the contract of one of their 'keepers and told three other players to look for other clubs. I find that very strange so close to the start of a new season. Anywa...

2017/2018 predictions

It's fairly quiet on here at present (great news that Jordan Lee is returning to Plainmoor) and as it's less that a fortnight to go before the first match of the season - yeah ! - here are my mythical predictions for the new season. I know not eveyone likes predictions ...... but I bet everyone read...

Isn't this thread about the new website Yes - you're correct. But you know how us old duffers ramble on and go off subject ....... I wouldn't of course include YorkieAndy as an old duffer ...... even though he does ramble on a bit sometimes ! ;-) Maybe us old duffers can have a thread of ...

Will he make a difference now? does he have any re-sale value? Will he be a rising financial asset for the club? Those are the questions that we also have to ask. That's why you need someone to think a little bit ahead. We have to sign players that have a resale value. "You never know with a young ...

Don't overlook the four vital words in his statement - WE PLAN TO RE-LOCATE ...... Yes, I'm sure Gaming International bliddy well PLANNED to re-locate the Reading and Swindon tracks and PLANNED a new ground for Bristol Rovers, but what happened ? What's the saying - 'The Road to Hell is paved with g...

Fully agree with you on this. According to wiki, he played 16 games for Truro last season and failed to score. I think that tells its own story. If I remember rightly, he didn't leave by choice - his contract was terminated, although I'm not 100% sure on that score. Even Karl Hawley managed three go...

Usual suspects knocking Nicholson - one who wasn't even at the game ! It was good to read fair reports from reliable posters such as Forever (who I know isn't Nicho's no.1 fan) and Arcadia, and also new poster Goose9. Thanks lads. But I have to admit - whatever was the point in playing Rory Fallon ??

Leyton Orient have signed Alex Lawless (Martin Ling seems to be quietly bringing in some useful players) and Macclesfield have signed Tyrone Marsh after being released by Dover after not scoring at all. He left Plainmoor to get 'regular first team football' - remember ? Ha !

Forgot to add and this will make you laugh Tomogull, the official programme listed two of our players as Simon Heslop and Karl Hawley ......I am not kidding ! The bloke next to me showed me the programme, The announcer said, sorry about the Torquay substitutions, 'I haven't got a clue ' Ha ! Looks ...
