I liked Courtney, but I think Youngy will flourish if he doesn't has to track back as often to cover Courtney's sluggishness.
Sluggishness isn't the word I'd use to describe CR to be fair - he covered a lot of ground most of the time. The issue was when he was in close proximity to the ball!

Transfer Rumours 17/18

Not a rumour as such but I wonder whether Nicholson will consider a move for Keith Lowe. Freshly free after leaving Kidderminster having been in the Conference North team of the year. Experienced head, with many years at L2/Conf. level, and could be either CB or right back. If GG is off then this co...

TUFC 2017/18 Squad

I would like to see Gallifuoco stay on too as a fourth CB/cover for RB/cover for DM. Not fussed at all that Rowe-Turner has gone - am actually hoping Richards follows and if Poke is returning then I'm not too disappointed about Moore going. He's made some great saves in his time here but also makes ...

Poke to return?

Agree with SG and Merse re Poke. Yes he was released by Woking, a side who probably have a better chance of making younger signings than ourselves due to location and proximity to a variety of bigger clubs, thus more players released. He's played regularly at this level and above in his career. He i...

TUFC 2017/18 Squad

Completely agree with some of the comments above. LRT was a poor full back and always looked frightened to receive the ball. The lack of incoming players is not a concern to me yet but it's not going to entice anybody to take a punt on a ST. According to the most recent Herald, we've sold around 70...

Olejnik signs

I see he has today been released by Exeter.

Wonder if Nicho can persuade him to return?

I agree with Chelston. We are currently the third professional club in peripheral Devon. Work pay levels generally are lower than the National level. As many professional players supplement their wage with part time work it's not only what United can afford to pay that's a problem. Well it is becau...

I'm fairly sure Woking have new owners or some new investment, allowing them to make this deal. Could see them hit an average of around 1800/1900, which I imagine would be their highest in a number of years.

Retain lists released. Anyone worth a look at?

Perhaps more realistically is Louis Rooney from Argyle. Spent the end of the season on loan at Hartlepool - I don't see him getting a FL club again. Youngster so room to work with, whereas Brunt has missed long periods of recent seasons - can we afford another player like that?

This will be only the second time in around 15 years I won't get one. I understand both sides of the argument, but feel GI had many opportunities last season to show their hand, and they did.

Pre-season friendlies 2017

I believe Cardiff are already scheduled for one at Argyle so there's probably a high chance they'll be here too. Would be nice if Leeds could be arranged to come down again as they'll bring 2,000+.

I'm pretty sure that in most recent seasons the early bird season ticket offer has been announced before we've even finished our season. An example being at the end of 2013/14, where the Early bird period began in mid-March, so we knew about them long before the season was over. http://www.torquayu...

Final Game - North Ferriby @ 12:15

Good news. I reckon we try and fill that end for the half when we're shooting that way, then move back to the pop..
