Jim Parker Herald Express

Dave Thomas let it slip on a recent podcast which I listen to every week that he earns a pittance. Not the word he used but the implication was clear. As a result he is not going to put his head above the parapet! I sit in Bristows Bench just in front the Press Box and 2 years ago after a truly shoc...

Torquay v Eastleigh 13/01/2018 (PP)

Just watched the Highlights twice. Gosling really should have scored in the first minute. Perfect cross from Efete. Jake are you working on your heading this week because next time you need to do better. Matthews made a great run for the opening goal but McGinty backed off which was fatal. We have g...

Hope or Hopeless

We are not down yet. 2 years ago we visited Boreham Wood on the 20 Feb and we had 26 points from 31 games. We won 1-0 at Boreham Wood and in the last 15 matches we won 8, drew 3 and only lost 4, one of which was at Guiesley in the last game of the season when we were already safe. We can still survi...

Torquay United Association Football Club - Sole Director Clarke Osborne

merse Toklon is the ultimate holding company of Gaming International and its subsidiaries I can confirm that in the Annual Accounts of Riviera Stadium Ltd for the year ended 31st March 2017 RSL had a creditor of £360,000 namely an unsecured loan to Torquay United AFC. RSL is a subsidiary company of ...

Torquay United Association Football Club - Sole Director Clarke Osborne

In response to the posts from Plainmoor78 I absolutely reject that I am "missing the point completely" Osborne has admitted he knows nothing about football. If he is a competent businessman he knows that if his plans for a land grab fail, which is highly likely, just read the post from merse above, ...

Torquay United Association Football Club - Sole Director Clarke Osborne

In the long history of TUAFC have we ever had a situation where the Board of Directors consist of one man, namely Clarke Osborne. I have been following the club since 1954 and for decades Tony Boyce Chaired the Board with distinction and knew what he was doing. In the last ten years the club has bee...

MOTM - Eastleigh

Luke Young. A fine match and a well taken goal. Michee Efete. Getting better with every game but sometimes gets out of position. Jake Gosling. Very talented unlucky not to score today. George Dowling. Earned a penalty and made some storming runs. Conrad Ballatoni. Solid looked comfortable and passed...

Conrad Balatoni

My Partick Thistle friend reports; Balatoni is a decent all round player but his defensive qualities have been found wanting over the past few years. He has a good eye for the ball but gets out of position from time to time. We just have to hope he has something to prove and will do well at Plainmoor.

tufc in crisis

The way I see the tragedy that is playing out in plain site, the demise of the Club we love, is down to the naked ambition of one man. Mr. Harrop. Clarke Osborne had, and has, no interest in Football but Harrop wanted to rule the roost at Plainmoor and urged Osborne to get involved against the bette...

A good friend of mine who lives in Edinburgh is a Partick Thistle fan so I will seek his opinion on Mr. Balatoni.

Wrexham v Torquay 6/1/18

I know my view may not be popular but I feel sorry for Gary Owers who has worked so hard to get some quality in to the squad only to be let down by players and their Agents. When the team is rock bottom so many players are just not interested especially with our remote location. Just a point on your...

Wrexham v Torquay 6/1/18

Clearly I am deluded having predicted we would win today. All I can say is this. 2 years ago after 31 games we had 24 points and survived because we recruited Nathen Blissett ( not even on the bench for Argyle today) Danny Racchi, a leader on the pitch, Shaun Harrad, experienced player, Toby Ajala, ...

Wrexham v Torquay 6/1/18

Football is a funny old game and this is just the sort of game when the away side comes away with 3 points.

Who expected us to win at Sutton.

United to win 2-1 with a brace from Fletcher.

Deluded or correct? We will know at 5pm.

The squad as it stands.....

merse that is exactly how I saw it when I read the news.
I always try to see the decision as I would see it if I was in the players shoes or boots!
