If GI fail getting the freehold...

I stand on half way line Popside. How on earth is my post a threat? I welcome anyone to come and talk with me, I am nothing to do with GI!! Now with all due respect **** off!! That's quite an over-reaction. I made it very clear I didn't know who you were, the word 'if' is very obvious. Others have ...

Pre-season friendlies 2017

I know we're not a particularly attractive proposition, but the list of friendlies is frankly pathetic. Won't make any money and won't be prepared for the level of opposition we'll face when the season starts.

Having said that, did used to love a summers evening in Dawlish...

If GI fail getting the freehold...

I think we can be reasonably confident that if GI aren't given the go-ahead on the ground, their next 'plan' will be an exit strategy. And any threats of what that might mean are futile - it will still be better than the club being homeless.

If GI fail getting the freehold...

I've no idea who you are, but if (as has been insinuated by others) you are in some way involved with the chancers in charge of the club, that sounds an awful lot like a veiled threat? For what it's worth, I'd rather the club was dissolved and start again 10 levels below where it currently is than l...

Don't take your eye off the ball

Sesimbra wrote: 12 May 2017, 10:42 Has anyone living in Torbay written to The Editor letters page to drum up support? It would be interesting to see if it is published.
Details of how to vote could be included.
Would that need to be done by 'somebody living in Torbay'? Surely that opportunity is available to anybody?

Don't take your eye off the ball

Logically, there is no reason that the petition shouldn't receive 20,000 signatures - but people can't be relied upon to do the simplest thing. I've signed many petitions in my time, and am continually surprised by the lower-than-expected amount of names on said petitions. People are generally apath...

Brett Williams, should he stay or should he go ?

I'd expect if Williams goes (and I fully expect him to), it'll be because another club makes him a better offer. He clearly has quality (at this level), and he'd improve any team in this division (on the pitch at least). I have no idea what his attitude around the place is like - but IF he didn't tr...

Retain List

Yet you all seemed onside with the board who delivered the budget last season??? At the end of the day we did NOT have the smallest budget in the league and teams with smaller budgets performed better than we did. I know you will go on about our poor locations and inability to attract players but i...

We were due to 'receive a chunk' from Bournemouth weren't we? That didn't happen either.

Retain lists released. Anyone worth a look at?

The unfortunate truth is that (as has always been the case), we have to get the players here. It's all very well dangling the opportunity of full-time football in front of players - but if to accept it results in a pay-cut (as well as relocation away from family and friends), it isn't quite as easy ...

If 100 people give them the answers they are looking for, it’d surely be better if there are 100 people offering an alternate view? If 100% of respondents reply as they want us to…

Retain List

I await with baited breath the announcement of the 'retained' list. It's all about cost, and absolutely nothing to do with ability now. I'll be amazed if anyone that isn't already under-contract for an extended period, will get a new one (I'm sure some will be offered something - but expect the pay-...

Bad Vibes. Let's get them out of the way

I'm kind of with merse, IF we get over the line saturday and save ourselves then it's a great effort from Nicho and this small bunch of players to have kept the club up from what was a second desperate looking situation on the spin. BUT Under no circumstances should it be considered an achievement ...
